II Annual Day Function held on 8th April 2011 a 12pm. This function was presided by His Holiness Shri Sha. Bra. Dr. mahantalinga Shivacharya Mahaswamiji the president of the Shri Veerabhadraswamy Education Society and the founder of the SVS Free Residential school. Dr. Nijaguna Ph.D.the vice-principal of Vijaya college, Bangalore attended as a chief Guest and gave a wonderful speech and advice to the students and parents who came from all parts of the state.

“Shri Siddhanta Shikhamani” is a main text on Veerashaiva philosophy. It’s also often called as Renuka Gita, because it’s a dialog of Jagadguru Renukacharya and Agastya Maharishi. It is written by Shri Shivayaogi Shivacharya between 8th and 10th century A.D. Shri Siddhanta Shikhamani tells about 6 sthalas (shatasthala), 5 acharas (panchachara) and 8 avaranas (ashtavarana).

Shri Swamiji got Ph.D award for his research thesis ‘Shaivagamagalu Mattu Shri Siddhanta Shikhamani’ from Bangalaore University on 15th February 2011. He compared the Kamikaadi Vaatulanta 28Shaivagamas with Shri Siddhanta Shikhamani the main Book for Veerashaivas to guide all aspects of veerashaiva philosophy. Shri Swamiji extracted many social welfare aspects in Shri Siddhanta Shikhamani. The thesis will be published in future.

Shrimad Vibhuthipura Veerasimhasana Samsthan Math gives Suvarnshree award every year. 2010 Suvarnashree Award has given to Shri Belagere Krushnashastry. The 95 years old Krushnashatry is the presidents’ award own retired teacher, a writer, philanthropist and experienced mistiriuos experiences with a enlightened seer mukundswamiji, he lived years immemorial. Suvarnashree Award includes Rs. 10,000/-, bronze certificate, Mysore peta and vidwath Shawl.

In Vibhuthipuramath on every Amavasya(New Moonl Day) evening ‘Dharma Chintana’ will be held at 5.30pm. ‘Dharma Chintana’ is a religious function with Bhajan, a lecture on contemporary subjects. In the end, Shri Swamiji gives His Discourse. Shri Swamiji Himself sings a Bhajan and makes all audience to follow Him. More than 500 disciples attend the function.

Shri Swamiji felicitated Dr. Siddalinga Shivacharya Swamiji Kavaledurga, Shimoga Dist, Karnataka, India as he got Ph.D award from Kuvempu and Colambo Universities.
Shri Swamiji Swamiji felicitated Dr. Yathishwara Shivacharay Swamiji Kuppur, Tumkur Dist, Karnataka, India as he got Ph.D from Colambo University.

On November 14th we celebrated Children’s Day.
Boys prepared a very nice programme – they gave speeches in Kannada, English and Hindi, sang songs, performed dance and a short drama. Swamiji, teachers and other guests attended this celebration and gave their wishes to kids.

These boys are all from rural areas of Karnataka. But due to efforts and care of Swamiji and their teachers they will get a good education and will be good citizens of the country. You also can help children!
